Question to all my Christian Tumblr friends.

I know I don’t often talk about my personal life or my religion on tumblr, but I have one believe it or not.

How am I suppose to respond when a supposed friend (and I use the term friend EXTREMELY loosely) tells me that:

1) since I’ve become a Christian, I’ve abandoned my intellectual values ( I consider myself a serious intellectual, but during my journey with Christ, I have changed my opinions on matters that we both once agreed on)

2) the only reason “this whole religion thing” is changing me is because I’m impressionable and desperate for a cause

The Bible tells us that we, as children of the Lord, should be ready and able to defend the Word at all times. However, I had no idea how to defend my Lord and Saviour.

No matter how loud I scream he never seems to hear me when I tell him that since I began this journey I’ve changed. For the better. He doesn’t understand that I’ve finally found my place.

My intellectual side often battles with my faith. But at the end of the day I feel like I’m being called to something higher. Since being saved I finally realize that I’m not alone. I found a strength in me that I never knew I had before. I have a friend, a provider and someone to turn to when things get bad. Things aren’t all sunshine and roses but I’m happy. Shouldn’t that be the only thing that matters?

What should I do?
